The project was a great opportunity to take part in all aspects of conservation. The work was varied and each day was different. The activities ranged from planting trees, cutting down non-native trees, weeding and putting up fences to game drives, game counts, rhino patrols, watching feeding of the predators, visiting the elephant sanctuary and wilderness walks. The work was carried out in a relaxed manor and all of the staff were friendly. I particularly enjoyed the game drives and it was great when on a night drive we saw the rhinos, really close! Another highlight was visiting the elephant sanctuary where we got to ride, feed and walk alongside the elephants. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and it was good that I could use my time to do something worthwhile.
